What didn't I like? Roofside pool with a view over the city, wonderful restaurants, beautiful rooms, great staff, great spa, central to great shopping and the old town.
Nothing! It was the most perfect place I have every stayed!

Clean room, friendly staff, with a awesome breakfast buffet with great mimosas and located just a 5-minute stroll from Liceu for easy city exploration.

The position of the hotel is excellent. Is a historic building with the todays comforts, has a fantastic terrace and a good quality restaurant.Clean rooms and although situated at a very busy road the noise inside the hotel is minimal.I Recomend it
The room has very small closet space for clothes.The staff was not helpfull when we needed to change a 500 euro bill when the banks were closed. Additionally they have booked us a taxi to take us to Gerona airport who didn't know the way and we almost missed our plane.

At the moment we walked through the doors, we were impressed. The decor was fabulous and very spacious. Several sitting areas for different conversations. The front desk was very friendly and helpful with all our needs. The bell man that took up out luggage was very friendly also, and told us all about what the room supplied. The room itself was absolutely fabulous!!! Very spacious and clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in, and the room was dark and so quiet. The shower was great and the towels soft and huge. The lobby bar was quite nice also. Very helpful staff and friendly. Overall, we would highly recommend Hotel 1898. We would absolutely stay there again!!! Loved the experience!!!!

Had excellant and stunning location so to all the activity, next to Virreina Palace. The room itself was beautifully maintained and functional and had a magnificent view of the Cathedral. Whatever my needs were the helpful staff was willing to help to fulfill them.

The staff were incredibly friendly and enjoyed helping with questions. The rooftop area is spectacular! The views and ambiance provided a relaxing and inspiring space particularly at sunset and early evening. The rooms were quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable.
That I could only stay 5 nights. Next time I will stay for 2 weeks!

Our stay was really nice, liked delicious and satisfactory breakfasts.
The location was stunning and awesome - near restaurants and bars. There was a GOOD restaurant, shops and commercial centres next door.
